Rangers are delighted to announce the appointment of Charles Pinsard, as first team head coach.

Rangers are delighted to announce the appointment of Charles Pinsard, as first team head coach for the forthcoming 2024/25 Priaulx season. Mr Pinsard will be joined by a new coaching team including long time Ranger Andrew Robilliard.

“I can’t wait to get started and am looking forward to getting stuck in at Rangers. Whilst there is plenty of work to be done, I’m excited by the challenge and keen to help the club build on their foundations and objective to offer a great pathway from minis through youth to senior football, all topped with a strong, competitive Priaulx team.

Following coaching experiences with Bels, Rovers and North, together with managing the Guernsey FA’s team in the 2019 FA Inter League Cup competition, Pinsard is keen to establish himself as a force for good at Guernsey’s oldest football club.

“The club has fantastic facilities, both at St Andrews and the KGV where the U18s and Priaulx sides will play, and I’ve been very impressed by the Committee’s ambition and determination to get Rangers higher up the league and compete for trophies. The foundations are there and I’m looking forward to working with the new coaching set up,” said Mr Pinsard.

Pinsard will also work closely to Ryan Zico Black who was appointed Rangers U18 Lead Coach last week.

“We met with several candidates for this role but Charlie’s calm demeanour and enthusiasm stood out. His knowledge for the local game is excellent and the committee particularly liked his friendship and football relationship with Zico. Together, we hope the two will complement each other and help progress the talent we have coming through,” said Rangers Club President Jono Robilliard.

“Our U14s were league champions, our U18s finished a close second to the standout league champions Sylvans and we blooded several U18s in the first team last season. As ever in Guernsey, its “work in progress” but with the appointment of Charlie, working collaboratively with Zico and then with a youth set up including coaches such as Stewart Moyles and Chris Tardif, I’m confident we will have a harmonious coaching framework providing a great pathway for young players. As ever though, it all takes work, positivity and a supportive network of players, volunteers and parents which we have, and are grateful for!” said Mr Robilliard.
